Damüls is a popular Austrian tourism resort which was named in 2006 as the "Snow richest Village of the World" Its history dates back to around 1300 when people from the canton Wallis in Switzerland were forced to leave their home out of poverty to seek a new domicile, which they found in this rural region. A famous site is the "Pfarrkirche Hl. Nikolaus" which has first been documented in 1392. The crowning of the "Snow Queen" is a popular yearly event and you should not miss to watch her pictures on the web site.
